WATCHOUT! - Suction Cup Grab Bars on Marble = Danger

The Boynton Beach Grab Bars blog would like to warn our readers and their loved ones that suction cup grab bars are not be relied upon when used on marble or other porous tile materials. Marble tiles will often seem to be smooth upon first glance, however they are quite porous and it will only take several hours for the vacuum state of the suction cup to be compromised as air seeps out slowly. Many times people use these devices in order to avoid drilling into their marble. This is a bad idea! Protect yourself against an unexpected fall with a real solution and have permanent grab bars installed by a professional grab bar installation specialist.
